  One of the best places to eat in the Sunnyside/Woodside area.
  
  The Alcove is a small, urban restaurant and bar. It has a Spanish vibe. But not just 1 Spanish island or country, it's like an amalgamation of all Latin countries. The place is small so you might feel like you're sitting side by side with other people. So that is really the only part that isn't good.
  
  The food is always great. My favorites are the Alcove nachos, the chimichurri fries  and their cous cous salad. The Ingredients are always fresh. They are vegetarian friendly so you can pretty much alter any of their meals to suit your needs. I've come here several times for dinner & to sit by the bar and have myself a drink. They have flights of mojitos and margaritas and you can customize them with flavors. Best ones are the passionfruit and guava flavors!
  
  The staff is really friendly and they make you feel welcome when you walk in. You can ask them for recommendations and they always have one at the ready.
  
  Price wise, I would say it's modest. It's not cheap but its mid-range pricing. You could easily spend $100 here with food and drinks. I recommend you stop by for dinner and check it out for yourself.

  Came here for my birthday. It was a memorable birthday dinner. It was 3 people. It's nestled in a neighborhood. They usually only seat you if everyone is there, but saw us and seated us with 2/3. Thank you!
  It has a nice bar inside.
  We ended up getting flights of the mojitos. They were tasty.
  We got the nachos. The peppers were spicy. But, a good mix of toppings.
  The burger was delicious.
  My friend and wife decided to embarrass me on my birthday by having the entire staff sing happy birthday.
  It was definitely an experience and I appreciate everyone singing. Thank you for the shots and dessert.
  I would definitely go back.
  Great family owned service and good food all around.

  What an experience! You need to come here and have the Alcove Burger! It's one of the best burgers in NYC. Perfectly cooked medium. The eggs and cheese went together so well. The bun was not overwhelming but the perfect amount. It's easy to eat! My friend got the truffle fries and I should have! So don't make the same mistake I did haha. the nachos with chicken were a perfect starter for our group of four.
  
  The atmosphere is something different. The staff is the most welcoming group of people. I met more than a few by name. Everyone genuinely cared about our experience.

  I do not recall the last time I saw a restaurant with several hundred reviews and a full 5 stars, so I had to see what the buzz was about.
  
  Went here for some lunch and drinks, pretty small place but staff is amazingly friendly. Mojito flights were bomb, personal favorite was the tamarind, we ordered a full glass after our flight!
  
  Food is fantastic, steak sandwiches and burgers were oh so scrumptious.  You  have to upgrade the fries to the chimichurri truffle fries, they are absolutely divine.
  
  I have been missing a cool neighborhood vibe bar from my rotation of restaurants and I will be returning for more flights and fries
